Last Outdoor Jam Session of the Season!
This Sunday is the last Jam Session + Dance at Rittenhop for 2026. Hosted by Katie Neary
The time has come, it's becoming cardigan weather, and we're winding down our outdoor jam sessions for the year. We've had an amazing time at our monthly jam sessions and heard only positive feedback from the community in Rittenhouse.
If you've also enjoyed our monthly jam session series, and would like to see it return next year, consider donating to Rittenhop! We are a registered 501c3 nonprofit, so your contribution is tax deductible.
If you are a student or musician and would like to help us secure grant funding for next year, come chat with us on Sunday, we'd be happy to have you on the team! Or, feel free to contact us afterward.
How our Jam Sessions work
We're casual, no signup form. If you're a musician, try to plan a few songs ahead of time you might want to call, so that dancers don't have to wait as long between tunes while the personnel changes.
Please don't take more than a chorus, especially if multiple soloists are on the tune. Our local dancers prefer to dance with many partners over many songs. Also, we start to get tired after 4 minutes. This is doubly so for fast tunes. Keep tempos between 130-180.
Instruments
We will have:
- vocal mic
- piano
- bass
- drums
- very cheap guitar amp
Please feel free to bring a horn, and jump in on the session!
