August Jazz Series at Spruce St. Harbor

The July live band swing dance series at Spruce St. Harbor Park wrapped up last Friday with a bang! We're back with more live bands, this time with more of a listening/hangout vibe, and two bands per night. There will still be opportunities to dance at each show.

Also, Park Bench Band is back for another Rittenhop next Sunday August 10.

Upcoming Events

Spruce St. Harbor - August Jazz Series

Tomorrow - Fri. Aug. 1 - Jillian Ashcraft and Hiruy Tirfe
6pm: Beginner Lesson
7pm - 10pm: Live music and dancing!

Come to Spruce St. Harbor Park via Spruce st., turn right when you see the hammocks, the stage is past the bar—can't miss it.

This event is free and all ages (and dog-friendly). There is a bar, nearby snacks on the boardwalk, and ample seating at the venue. Dance floor is slow uneven wood, or gravel, if you so choose. Sun typically sets by 7 and it cools off considerably by the end of the night. Light rain will not cancel this event since the stage is covered.

About: Spruce St. Harbor August Jazz Series

Celebrate the heart and soul of Philadelphia’s jazz scene at Jazz Summer Nights, a free concert series spotlighting the city’s diverse community of jazz artists. Each Friday in August, the waterfront comes alive with the sounds of two dynamic bands per night, featuring a mix of rising stars and seasoned performers from across the region.

The series wraps up with a performance from the Jack St. Clair Orchestra, a 17-piece big band, followed by an Open Jam Session where local musicians are invited to take the stage. Throughout the month, expect special guest performers enhancing this celebration of jazz, culture, and community.
